1490 Doom Patrols

Descriptive alt text

1490 Doom came onto my radar last fall. The appeal was simple. The barrier to entry is almost nothing. You only need three models to play, known as a Doom Company.

I have a lot of friends who either do not game or who already play other systems and are hesitant to commit to something new. So instead of trying to convince them, I decided to remove the excuse. I built two Doom Companies.

First Patrol

The first patrol centres around a fighter that began as leftover greenstuff wrapped around a wire armature to form a heavy cloak. From there, I added a cowl from the Wargames Atlantic Villagers set, arms and a sword from the bits box, and a helmet from the Victrix Medieval accessories set.

The Warrior Priest is built from the Kill Team Sanctifiers kit with a swapped helmet and mace. The Scavenger is mostly Villagers parts, kept simple and lean.

Second Patrol

The Brute is one of the Corpulent Horrors from Smash Bash with a sculpted poncho to tie it into the same world. The Scout has a sculpted mask, and the Doom Hunter is a straightforward kitbash built from spare parts.
